“The only limitations there are, are the ones that I put on myself.”
- Ian Ruhter
“You don’t have to be missing a leg. You could be full able-bodied, but if that one little idea is in your head that [says], “I can’t do it”, that’s disability right there.
It just all starts up here in your head. If you think you can’t do it, you are never gonna do it.”
- Oscar Ricardo Loreto Jr.
The so-called “thinking outside the box” is often done from yet another box. This is why I run from labels, no matter how good they seem. All boxes have fixed dimensions whether we acknowledge it or not and boxes are designed to contain. Getting the best out of all boxes seems to be the approach that is working for me.
Growth and the drive to go beyond the perceived limits is wired in us
We excel, not to impress or be in an insecure competition with others, but because that is who we are
No one has to give lessons to a baby on how to crawl, stand, walk, run and then leap
She does that intuitively because there is an invisible Force directing her from within
Limitation, which is nothing but a mindset, is then a learned belief
If it is learned, then we have the same choice to unlearn and remap that mindset
By flowing with the natural flow that we were born with.
Attitude is Altitude.
This video reinforces the truth to never ever judge a book by its cover. One of my all time favorite video clips!
That person we see in the mirror daily is neither the complete us, nor will the labels assigned to us can define or confine us. Nothing and no one can limit us, but us.
